Fake veteran Nuridin Chomoev pays for damage to state

Major General Nuridin Chomoev, who illegally received supplementary pension, paid for the damage to the state. The Military Prosecutor’s Office informed 24.kg news agency.

Meanwhile, the supervisory body noted that the investigation of the criminal case against the ex-chief of the Defense Ministry’s main headquarters continued.

«The state bodies, which were illegally charging extra payments to military personnel, are also being checked,» the Military Prosecutor’s Office noted.

According to it, the check of the supplements to the pension of the Major General Rysbek Mirzamatov continues. «The Military Prosecutor’s Office sent a request to Turkmenistan, where he served. We will decide on the initiation of a criminal case as soon as an answer is received,» the agency noted.

In December 2017, it turned out that 160 people illegally ranked themselves as veterans of military operations, including in Afghanistan, and received benefits in Kyrgyzstan. The interdepartmental commission found out that there were also those, who did not participate in military operations at all.

The lists also includes the former high-ranking military servicemen — former deputy chairman of the State Border Service, Major General Rysbek Mirzamatov and the former chief of the Defense Ministry’s main headquarters, Major General Nuridin Chomoev.
