President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed an order appointing Almaz Azhygulov as Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) and Director of the SCNS Cybersecurity Coordination Center. The presidential press service reported.
The Cybersecurity Coordination Center is a key structure responsible for protecting state information systems, countering cyberattacks, monitoring digital threats, and coordinating the work of government agencies in the area of information security.
Almaz Azhygulov previously worked within the national security system and was involved in digital security and information infrastructure protection.
Almaz Azhygulov’s official biography was not made public at the time of the order’s publication.
This position was previously held by Uranbek Shadybekov. He was appointed in February 2026.
