Hearing of the criminal case against the ex-Minister of Justice, deputy of the Parliament Aida Salyanova was completed in Leninsky District Court of Bishkek. She was sentenced to five years in prison.
She was charged with abuse of office. According to the investigation, in 2010 Aida Salyanova, being the head of the Ministry of Justice, illegally renewed the lawyer’s license to Aleksey Eliseev.
The court found her guilt fully proved and determined the punishment in the form of five years in prison with confiscation of property. But since she has a small child, serving of the sentence was postponed until the moment when her daughter turns 14. Now the child is two years old.
Supporters and relatives of the deputy shout to the judge: «Sorrow on you!» The convict earlier noted that she was ready for a conviction, since both the investigation and the court were initially conducted with violations, and the case against her is a political order.
