Hydraulic unit of Kambarata HPP 2 was stopped because of the peculiarities of the power mode of the hydropower stations. Electric Stations OJSC reported.
It is noted that the repair and preparation work for the autumn-winter period 2017/2018 began. The unit was stopped according to the repair schedule.
«Energy consumption in summer decreases three-fold. Electricity generated at other hydropower stations and Bishkek Heating and Power Plant is enough to cover domestic consumption. Water from Kambarata HPP-2 water reservoir gets directly into Toktogul reservoir, and not a single cubic meter is lost," the company explained.
