Persons with disabilities to hold rally at Prosecutor General's Office

Persons with sight and hearing disabilities are going to hold a rally today, on June 20, at 10.00 near the building of the Prosecutor General’s Office. Member of the Kyrgyz Blind and Deaf Association, lawyer Sergey Bryukhanov, told 24.kg news agency.

«We want to urge the prosecutor’s office to be engaged in its direct duties, and leave our association alone. On December 28, 2016, a criminal case was opened on the apartments. Half a year has passed, but nothing has been decided, no one has been charged, no one has been recognized as a victim. And people can not privatize the apartments that they have got. Such disputes are resolved in civil proceedings, and not in criminal ones," he said.

According to Sergey Bryukhanov, the apartments were seized, 225 people are «in suspense».

«There are 9,500 people in our association, about 800 people live in the apartments (including children and spouses). And only 10 people are dissatisfied with their distribution. They are not so dissatisfied with apartments, as they want to divide our association. This group of citizens is headed by healthy, sighted people," he said.

Sergey Bryukhanov reminded that members of the association held rallies in Gorky Park, and in front of the Parliament, organized a press conference, but «there was no reaction.»

«Today, at the Prosecutor General’s Office, we want to ask the Prosecutor General Indira Dzholdubaeva about her position," he said.
