Almazbek Atambayev proposes to focus on eliminating barriers in EEU

«We should focus on elimination of barriers in EEU," Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev said during an expanded meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

According to him, the presidency in the EEU this year gives Kyrgyzstan the opportunity to present its vision for the future functioning of the organization. That is why Kyrgyzstan proposed to devote the year 2017 to creating conditions for business development in the Eurasian space.

«The economy is influenced by business, entrepreneurs. It is important for us to continue work on creating favorable conditions and implementing the four principles of the EEU: the freedom of movement of goods, services, finance and labor. We need to focus on removing the barriers that are still inside the union. This requires a closer link between government agencies, EEC and business. It is necessary for the commission to listen to the initiatives and proposals of business," Almazbek Atambayev said.

«It is especially important for Kyrgyzstan to strengthen work on the development of agriculture, processing and light industry. I would like to thank the leaders of Russia and Kazakhstan for the support they provide for the elimination of problems in the veterinary and phytosanitary sphere. This work will improve the quality of goods and their production," Almazbek Atambayev added.
