In Kyrgyzstan, the volume of unmarked alcohol has decreased 16 times. Alexey Artemyev, Deputy Director of the Department of Customs Tariff, and Non-Tariff Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, said.
The Eurasian Economic Commission notes that digitalization of sales has increased the revenues of EAEU countries.
New rules regulating foreign e-commerce will come into force on July 1. According to Alexey Artemyev, this is currently the union’s most dynamically developing sector.
«Digital labeling has proven itself to be an effective tool for protecting the common market from illegal products and replenishing the budgets of the union states... For example, in Kyrgyzstan, the volume of unmarked alcohol has decreased 16 times, and tobacco products 2 times, which has increased tax revenue by more than 25 percent,» he said.
