The city of Osh has started preparations for the 2026–2027 autumn-winter heating season. It was announced following a meeting of the city’s headquarters.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Mayor of Osh Ernis Toltoev.
According to him, municipal and utility services have already begun preparatory work. In particular, repairs are underway at boiler houses, heating networks, and steam boilers, as well as procurement of fuel oil, coal, and gas.
Work also continues on the repair of transformers and power transmission lines. Special attention is being paid to the readiness of schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and other social facilities for the upcoming heating season.
City authorities also plan to ensure sufficient coal reserves for residents during the winter period.
Following the meeting, relevant services were instructed to strengthen inter-agency coordination and complete all preparations within the established deadlines to ensure a stable and uninterrupted heating season.
