Schoolchildren from Kyrgyzstan win 3 bronze medals at Olympiad in Almaty

Young mathematicians from Kyrgyzstan won three bronze medals at the Professor Shaltai Smagulov Republican Mathematics Olympiad among students in grades 6 and 7.

According to the Ministry of Education, the final round of the intellectual competition took place in Almaty.

Schoolchildren from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan took part in the Olympiad. More than 3,000 students participated in the qualifying round, of whom 106 students in grades 6 and 7 advanced to the finals.

Based on the results of the Olympiad, the following students received medals:

  • Nurislam Zarylbekov, a 7th-grade student at school No. 70 in Bishkek;
  • Bayaman Matiev, a 7th-grade student at Kupuyev Academy in Osh;
  • Umar Saipidinov, a 7th-grade student at the Akylman Presidential Lyceum.

Team leader: Aibar Amanov.

Team coaches: Mamat Ishmatov, Shumkarbek Abduraimov, Bekzhol Zholdubai uulu, Aidin Asankadyrov, Nursultan Eshperov, and Nazar Kirgizbaev.

Kyrgyzstan has been actively participating in the Professor Shaltai Smagulov Olympiad since 2018.
