At the 20th Asia-Pacific International Informatics Olympiad (APIO 2026), a school student from Kyrgyzstan won a bronze medal, and five other students received honorary certificates.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, approximately 900 school students from 36 countries participated in the competition this year. Twenty-six students from the Kyrgyz team participated in the Olympiad via online video observation.
Ali Arapov, a 10th-grade student from Seitek STEM School, won bronze.
The competition was organized by Taiwan.
