Police officers and representatives of the State Tax Service arrived at Tyubeteyka café in Bishkek to conduct special operations. A video was posted on the establishment’s Instagram account.
The footage shows police officers and tax officials inviting witnesses to observe the procedure.
During the conversation, the administration was reportedly asked to remove property not related to the café’s operations. They were also offered to submit a list of personal belongings; however, the café staff stated that their rights were being violated.
The café administration described the situation as an attempted raider seizure. According to the owners, representatives of the authorities did not present a court enforcement order or other official documents. They also stated that 55 employees were left without work at one point.
It was later reported that the building had been sealed.
No official statements from government authorities have been issued so far.
