Bishkek Mayor demonstrates waste processing plant operation to Belarusian PM

Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev demonstrated to Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksander Turchin the operation of a waste processing facility. According to the press service of the municipality, they visited the Bishkek sanitary landfill.

It should be noted that a waste sorting line was commissioned in December 2025. The facility carries out sorting with the subsequent transfer of recyclables for further processing. The sorted materials are sent to a processing plant on Fere Street, where they are used to produce urban infrastructure elements, including benches, manholes, drainage channels, and other materials. The technological equipment for the facilities was supplied by the Belarusian company Sifania — Ecotechnika.

Aleksander Turchin praised the operation of the enterprise, noting that it is well organized and efficient.

«The entire complex is properly organized. You have created a good closed-loop system that allows for the efficient management of waste processing issues,» he said.

The high guest was also shown an eco-technological waste processing plant that generates electricity.

The project is being implemented in stages. The plant has already been commissioned. The second phase includes the construction of a second production unit with a capacity of up to 2,000 tons per day. Once it reaches full capacity, the plant will be able to process up to 3,000 tons of solid household waste per day and generate up to 90 megawatts of electricity per hour.

The operation of this facility will significantly improve the environmental situation and provide the city with additional volumes of clean energy.
