The Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, is sending 129 tons of humanitarian aid to Iran. The initiative was organized on the instructions of the country’s president.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the shipment includes 66 tons of food—flour, canned meat, and vegetable oil—and 63 tons of medicines.
The transfer of the humanitarian aid to Tehran will take place with the participation of Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Iran Akylbek Kylychev.
The Israeli and U.S. attack on Iran began on February 28 with multiple air and missile strikes on cities and military facilities. Tehran retaliated by attacking Israel and U.S. military bases in several Middle Eastern countries. Iran has also blocked the Strait of Hormuz, through which 20 percent of global oil transits.
