The Zhogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan will carry out an inventory of its laws and resolutions. Speaker Marlen Mamataliev announced at a parliamentary session.
According to him, the Parliament has adopted more than 3,000 laws and around 20,000 resolutions.
«As you know, a reform is underway in the Parliament. A commission has now begun work to inventory all laws and resolutions. Using a ‘guillotine’ method, we will identify ineffective legal acts and assess the implementation of all adopted laws and resolutions. All information will be presented to deputies,» Mamataliev added.
He also stated that the Zhogorku Kenesh will strengthen its oversight functions regarding adopted legal acts.
Deputy Kamila Talieva supported the initiative, noting that some laws and resolutions are either ineffective or improperly adopted.
«We should check how state bodies are implementing the laws that have been passed,» she added.
