Meder Aliev has been elected First Deputy Speaker of the Zhogorku Kenesh. The decision was adopted following a secret ballot during a parliamentary session.
His candidacy was nominated by the parliamentary group El Umutu Ata-Zhurt.
Previously, Chyngyz Azhybaev stepped down from the position of First Deputy Speaker at his own request.
