The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported the detention of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, S.T.K., known in criminal circles by the nickname «Potap».
It was established that S.T.K. was in close relations with the so-called crime boss Kamchi Kolbaev, under whose patronage he was elected mayor of Cholpon-Ata city in 2017.
Based on the collected materials, on March 13, 2025, S.T.K. was detained and, based on the ruling of the Oktyabrsky Court, was placed in the institution No. 21 of the State Penitentiary Service under the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic.
