Flag hoisted on new flagpole on central square of Bishkek

A ceremony of raising the national flag on a new flagpole took place on the central square of Bishkek today, August 31. 24.kg news agency correspondent reported.

The command to start the event was given by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, who congratulated citizens on Independence Day and delivered a solemn speech.

Recall, reconstruction of the square began in April and the key element of the renovation was the new flagpole. It was manufactured at a plant in Turkey, and special equipment was required for its delivery to Kyrgyzstan. The flagpole is made of high-strength galvanized steel with a polymer coating. The contractor for the installation was Etalon Vin Spets Story company.
