Children of the Commonwealth Youth Forum starts in Cholpon-Ata

The opening ceremony of the IX International Cultural and Educational Forum Children of the Commonwealth took place in Cholpon-Ata city. The Secretariat of the Council of the IPA CIS reported.

The event is attended by schoolchildren and their mentors from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

At the opening ceremony, each delegation demonstrated the national identity of their country.

The heads of Parliaments of the Commonwealth states sent greetings to the participants of the event.

Cultural traditions of the Kyrgyz Republic were presented on the first day of the forum. The children taught schoolchildren from other delegations to play one of the most popular games of the Kyrgyz people — ordo. A master class on working with felt was held.

Sports games, hikes, debates, creative workshops, quests, musical flash mobs await schoolchildren. The first forum took place in 2013 in Cholpon-Ata city on the initiative of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
