The Department of Disaster Medicine and Emergency Advisory Medical Care of the National Hospital has been opened in Bishkek. The Ministry of Health reported.
The department is the republican leading institution for providing emergency advisory medical assistance to healthcare organizations in Kyrgyzstan. The Disaster Medicine Department annually receives more than 1,000 calls from various regions of the republic, 96 percent of which are emergency patients. Оn average, more than 3,000 calls are received from city healthcare organizations in the capital.
«Off-site consultation of patients (by phone, telemedicine, Skype and so on) is carried out in about 60-65 percent of cases, with on-site practical assistance — about 35 percent. Situation center at the Department of Disaster Medicine and Emergency Consultative Medical Care is equipped with communication means (video conference, conference calls and other means of interactive provision of information) and is designed for situational management, as well as for operational crisis decision-making, control and monitoring of objects of different nature, situations and other functions,» the Ministry of Health said.
