The draft resolution of the Bishkek City Council on increasing the fare has been submitted for public discussion.
As the background statement says, the current resolution stipulates that the City Hall, when considering the issue of changing fares for the transportation of passengers and luggage by public passenger transport, must take into account changes in operating costs and inflation. In this regard, the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of the municipality calculated the cost of passenger transportation by public transport.
It is proposed to set a single fare for trolleybuses, buses (regardless of the form of ownership) and minibuses — 20 soms.
At the same time, concessionary fares will be kept for age pensioners, persons with disabilities of groups I, II, III of general illness and work injury, since childhood, children under seven years old, postmen of Kyrgyz Pochtasy OJSC in the performance of their official duties.
