Number of validators on Bishkek buses to be increased

The number of validators on Bishkek buses is planned to be increased. Deputy Mayor Ramiz Aliev announced at a meeting of the City Council’s Standing Committee on Housing and Communal Services, Fuel and Energy, Transport, Communications, and Ecology.

He stated that technical specifications have been prepared for installing a second validator near the rear door. Currently, one is only located near the front door, which leads to congestion and creates inconvenience for passengers.

After the complete transition to cashless payment and the installation of a second validator, entry and exit from buses will be accessible from any door.

Ramiz Aliev added that there are numerous cases of Tulpar cards being transferred to third parties. In this regard, Department of Transport officers are conducting raids.

Cash payments on Bishkek buses will be discontinued starting July 1. Passengers unable to pay cashlessly will not be allowed to board public transportation.
