«The agenda of our delegation is rich. We will also take part in the events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Russian military base in Kant. As for economic interaction, Russia is one of the leading trade and economic partners of Kyrgyzstan. Last year’s trade turnover increased by 37 percent to a record $3.5 billion,» he said.
The Russian President stressed that Russia is the largest investor in the Kyrgyz economy. About 36 percent of all accumulated direct investments are made by Russian companies. There are 800 enterprises with Russian participation working in the republic.
«Interregional ties are also developing dynamically. More than 80 subjects of Russia are actively working with all regions of Kyrgyzstan. Yesterday, the 10th Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference was held, which was very useful. A capsule was laid for the construction of a friendship park between the regions of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic. All these are significant and positive things,» Vladimir Putin concluded.
