A citizen has been detained for illegally operating in the medical field, acquiring, distributing, and storing potent psychotropic drugs. The press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported.
Al-Aziz rehabilitation center in Osh was operating illegally.
It treated people suffering from various addictions. Moreover, the center’s operations were conducted in gross violation of current legislation. Specifically, the staff lacked higher medical education and the appropriate licenses. In cases of acute psychological crisis, physical force and special restraints were used on patients, including drugging them with potent psychotropic drugs, free circulation of which is restricted in Kyrgyzstan. As a result of investigative and operational measures, citizen A. uulu N. was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The SCNS continues investigative and operational measures aimed at identifying other persons involved.
