Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said that his wife paid 1.2 billion soms in taxes. He wrote about this in the comments to his post on Facebook.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers previously stated that there would no longer be crime in the country, and the republic would become a paradise for foreign investors. One of the users asked under this post how Akylbek Japarov got rich while working in the civil service. She wished him his resignation.
«Why do you need this? My wife paid taxes in the amount of 1,200 billion soms,» Akylbek Japarov answered.
In October 2020, the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes announced non-payment of taxes by Kantskaya MIS, including the company’s shareholders. The names included Akylbek Japarov’s wife Anara and the Maltese offshore company Eurasia Capital Limited. According to the state service, as of March 10, 2021, Eurasia Capital Limited owned 98.3 percent of the shares of MIS. However, there is no such organization in the Ministry of Justice database. But its name is listed in the offshore database of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).
Akylbek Japarov’s wife Anara also owns Tridas LLC, which supplies confectionery products to Kyrgyzstan. The information was published on the official website of the Ministry of Justice.
