The Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan proposes to raise the youth age up to 30 years inclusive. The Deputy Minister of Culture Soyuzbek Nadyrbekov said at a meeting of the Committee on Social Policy.
The ministry proposed a draft law «On Youth». It raises the age of youth from 28 to 30 inclusive. Thanks to the document, the number of young people in the country will increase and more citizens will receive support measures intended for young people.
«There are no state programs to support youth yet. We are initiating preferential lending for young citizens. This is a proposal for now. But if we increase the age of young people, they will be able to receive support from international organizations and ministries. This year, together with partners, we supported 292 youth startups. Not only people under 28, but also older participate in the events that we hold. Therefore, we also want to bring our documents into line,» Soyuzbek Nadyrbekov said.
Deputy proposed to the initiators of the bill to increase the age of young people to 35 years, citing the experience of Russia, Moldova and Kazakhstan as an example.
