The State Property Management Fund is considering sale of Alfa Telecom CJSC (MegaCom trademark) in 2023. The fund’s head Mirlan Bakirov told deputies of the Parliament.
According to him, the cost of the mobile operator is now estimated at 14.015 billion soms. An appraisal company will determine the final price.
The head of the State Property Management Fund added that it was also planned to sell the state stake in Keremet Bank, the Guarantee Fund and others. The Cabinet of Ministers approved a list of 30 companies where it was planned to sell the state share.
In August 2021, Mirlan Bakirov also told that the National Bank was considering the possibility of purchase of Alfa Telecom CJSC (MegaCom trademark).
In 2019, the cost of MegaCom was estimated at 19 billion soms, then it was reduced to 14 billion, but a buyer was not found.
