The President of Kyrgyzstan held a working meeting on the readiness of the country for the autumn-winter heating period 2022/2023, including the supply and provision of the population and institutions with coal.
It was attended by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of state bodies and structural divisions of the Presidential Executive Office, as well as heads of relevant state institutions.
Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev told about the preparation of the sectors of the economy and the population for the autumn-winter period.
After listening to the information, Sadyr Japarov outlined the need to timely meet the needs of the population and sectors of the economy in energy resources.
He drew attention to the importance of taking measures to prevent excessive growth in coal prices for the country’s population during the heating season.
In particular, the President instructed to apply a preferential tariff for the transportation of solid fuel by rail.
Necessity of ensuring strict control over the reconstruction and construction of energy facilities for the successful passage of the upcoming heating period was noted.
