At least 28,326 vehicles have been imported into the territory of Kyrgyzstan in 2019. The State Customs Service reported.
The largest import volume was recorded in November and December 2019. Points of customs clearance of vehicles in Voenno-Antonovka village and at Alamedin station were switched to a 24-hour operating mode. Banks accepted payments until 21.00.
«Persons who, for objective reasons, did not have time to import vehicles before December 31, 2019, carried out a preliminary declaration of vehicles in accordance with Article 114 of the EAEU Customs Code. In total, 123 preliminary customs declarations for motor vehicles were filed by individuals in the last days of December. The import of these vehicles must be carried out within 30 days from the date of submission of the preliminary declaration,» the SCS said.
Recall, period of validity of protocol on the conditions and transitional provisions on the application by Kyrgyzstan of the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty dated May 29, 2014 with respect to vehicles imported into the country ended on December 31, 2019. Application of increased customs duties and taxes rates during import started from January 1, 2020.
