Seven companies are ready to implement Electronic Ticketing project. Vice Mayor of Bishkek Maxim Sitnikov told 24.kg news agency.
«Opening of bids took place today. We will not name the companies — candidates so far. The tender commission has ten days to determine the participants who will pass to the second round,» he noted.
The Bishkek City Administration announced a tender for Electronic Ticketing project on January 12, 2019. It is planned to implement it on the basis of public-private partnership.
A private partner, at own expense, should create a project company — a system operator — in Bishkek. It will be given the right to manage and maintain the system for at least six years, to receive payment for its services in the form of fixed transaction costs.
The introduction of electronic ticketing in Bishkek has been discussed since 2013.
