A rally of supporters of the former parliament deputy Karganbek Samakov takes place at the Bishkek City Court building. The next hearing to review the criminal case of the deputy will start at 2.00 pm. A verdict will be announced today.
Recall, Karganbek Samakov and others are accused of illegal transformation of 262 hectares of land in Baytik, Lebedinovka and Kara-Dzhigach rural areas in Alamudun district. On December 19, the judge of Oktyabrsky District Court Damirbek Nazarov sentenced Karganbek Samakov to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Abai Tashtanbekov, Alikbai Sariev, Kubanychbek Samakov, Ernis Koichumanov and Urmat Nurdinov were sentenced to 8 years to be served in a penal colony with confiscation of property under Article 303 (corruption) of the Criminal Code. Arstanbek Nogoev, Kurmanbek and Zhanysh Bakiyevs were sentenced to 10 years behind bars under the Article 304 (abuse of office). All three are wanted.
The former Deputy Prime Minister Igor Chudinov and the former Minister of Agriculture Iskender Aidaraliyev were fined for 5 million soms each.
