Bishkek inter-district court recognized as lawful the decision of the Central Election Commission to recognize signature sheets in favor of Omurbek Tekebayev unreliable due to the fact that he violated the order of financing, the lawyers of Ata Meken party reported.
According to them, the court’s decision is unlawful. They believe that the court once again demonstrated its interest, since the decision by the Central Election Commission was taken in violation of the law.
The Socialists’ headquarters stressed that Omurbek Tekebayev had duly opened a special bank account, but couldn’t make transactions, since Judge Aibek Ernis uulu didn’t grant the request of lawyer Kanat Khasanov and didn’t issue ID card to Tekebayev.
As the press service of the Central Election Commission explained, to organize the collection of signatures in support of the presidential candidate, it is necessary to allocate money from the election fund of the candidate, what the leader of Ata Meken the party and his delegates didn’t do. In total, Omurbek Tekebayev’s representatives handed over 38,643 signatures to the CEC.
