Retiree Myktymbaev going to run for presidency in Kyrgyzstan

A retiree Kalmamat Myktymbayev applied to the Central Election Commission with a request to register him as a self-nominated candidate for the post of the president of Kyrgyzstan. He became the 31st self-nominated candidate.

As of July 26, the CEC received 31 applications for the self-nomination of candidates for the presidency and seven decisions of political parties and movements on nomination of their leaders.

The nomination of candidates ends on August 1. Elections in the country will be held on October 15.
