MES employees rescue 145 people in Kyrgyzstan since beginning of year

At least 145 people have been rescued since the beginning of the year in Kyrgyzstan. The head of the Crisis Management Center under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Colonel Mohammed Svarov told at a conference under the leadership of the Minister of Emergency Situations Kubatbek Boronov.

According to him, rescue and fire-rescue units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic for five months have rescued: in traffic accidents — 46 people, in extreme situations — 65, on water reservoirs — 2, in a fire — 32 people. «For comparison: in the same period of 2016, 91 people have been rescued, 43 of them- in traffic accidents, 44 — in extreme situations, 4 — on water reservoirs, 82 people — in a fire," Muhammed Svarov said.

He added that as a whole, 324 citizens had been provided assistance.
