The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan announces the launch of Electronic Consul mobile app.
According to the ministry’s press service, the service was developed to improve the accessibility and efficiency of consular services for citizens of the country abroad, as well as for those planning to travel outside the country.
The mobile app is based on the Electronic Consul digital platform and will serve as a convenient channel for citizens to interact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the republic’s foreign missions.
Initially, users will have access to certain consular services electronically, including obtaining a certificate of return to the Kyrgyz Republic, requesting documents, scheduling appointments, and registering for temporary or permanent consular services.
Additionally, the app provides up-to-date reference information on travel regulations, a list of consular services, and the addresses and contact information of Kyrgyzstan’s missions abroad. Particular attention is paid to rapid response in emergency situations. For this purpose, the app includes an SOS function, allowing citizens to send an emergency request in the event of an emergency abroad.
A gradual expansion of the range of electronic consular services available through the mobile app is planned.
Electronic Consul is currently in test mode and is available for download on Google Play. The app is expected to be released on the App Store soon.
