Almazbek Atambayev: It's time to create SCO bank

«Effective development of trade and economic development contributes to the strengthening of stability and security in the region and the time has come to establish the SCO bank," the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev said today at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Astana.

The head of Kyrgyzstan also touched upon the construction of China — Kyrgyzstan —Uzbekistan railway, noting that the deepening of integration processes is impossible without the development of the infrastructure that is proposed in the global idea «One Belt, One Road.»

«These ideas coinside with the SCO development strategy until 2025 and with the UN agenda in the field and sustainable development for the period until 2030. In this connection, I would like to once again note the importance of the construction of China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway. We support the implementation of the program on cooperation of member states in the field of tourism," the head of Kyrgyzstan said.

Recall, Astana hosts the meeting of the SCO — permanent intergovernmental international organization, which includes Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
