Moldova to get observer status in EEU

Moldova will get observer status in the Eurasian Economic Union. The President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev stated opening the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in expanded format.

According to him, at the end of the meeting, it was decided to welcome and support the intention of Moldova to get observer status. At the same time, the Eurasian Economic Commission should submit for approval the procedure for the implementation of observer status at the next meeting of the Council. Moldova will get the decision on the status after the approval of the procedure.

Note, Moldova was the first country which expressed a wish and applied for an observer status in the union.
