Bishkek to host 2026 Sumo Championship of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek will host the 2026 Sumo Championship of Kyrgyzstan, organizers announced.

They noted that the national championship among adults and the competition for juniors will serve as qualifying competitions for the national team.

The winners of the Championship of Kyrgyzstan will earn the right to represent the country at the World Sumo Championship, which will be held on October 17-18, 2026, in Azerbaijan.

Participants: adults (men and women) — 18 years and older; juniors — born between 2008 and 2012.
