The international sumo competition Commonwealth Cup among men and women was held in Moscow. Sports.ru website reports.
In the weight category up to 115 kilograms, member of Kyrgyzstan’s national team Sulde Dongak won a silver medal, and Aibek Kasmanbetov won bronze.
More than 200 athletes from Japan, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Belarus, Serbia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Hungary, Bulgaria, Georgia, Armenia, the USA and Moldova participated in the tournament.
As noted, the winners in individual weight categories will receive cash prizes: champion — 50,000 rubles, silver medalist — 30,000, bronze medalist — 20,000.
