Kyrgyzstan and UAE agree to expand air connectivity and tourism cooperation

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, met with a delegation from the United Arab Emirates to discuss prospects for cooperation in tourism, air connectivity, trade, and investment.

Kasymaliev noted that the UAE is one of Kyrgyzstan’s key economic partners in the Middle East. According to him, the republic is interested in further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and implementing joint projects.

The Cabinet Chairman expressed gratitude to the UAE delegation and the management of Air Arabia for assistance in evacuating citizens of Kyrgyzstan from the UAE in March this year. Representatives of the Arab side were awarded certificates of honor and official letters of appreciation from the Cabinet of Ministers.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to intensify efforts to develop Kyrgyzstan’s tourism potential, expand the geography of flights between the two countries, and attract investment into major projects being implemented in the republic.

In the first quarter of 2026, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates showed steady growth. According to the National Statistical Committee, total foreign trade reached $48,746.7 million, up 27 percent compared to January—March of last year. The UAE accounted for 1.5 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s total foreign trade volume.
