The Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will cooperate with the African Union Counter Terrorism Center. The CSTO press service announced.
At a meeting in Moscow, Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov, his deputy Valery Semerikov, and Acting Director of the African Union Counter Terrorism Center Idriss Mounir Lallali exchanged assessments of challenges and threats both in the CSTO area of responsibility and on the African continent.
The parties also focused on countering terrorism and strengthening international partnerships. Following the meeting, a framework document on cooperation between the CSTO Secretariat and the African Union Counter Terrorism Center was signed.
