Speaker of Parliament invited to pay official visit to Saudi Arabia

The Speaker of the Zhogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliev, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kyrgyzstan, Iyad bin Ghazi bin Suleiman Hakim. The parliament’s press service reported.

According to the press service, the meeting participants discussed strengthening relations between the two countries and exchanged views on developing interparliamentary cooperation. Marlen Mamataliev congratulated Iyad bin Ghazi bin Suleiman Hakim on the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Kyrgyzstan.

He noted that last week he received an official invitation from the Chairman of the Majlis ash-Shura of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh, to pay an official visit to the country, emphasizing that strengthening interparliamentary ties is also one of the main goals.

Ambassador Iyad bin Ghazi bin Suleiman Hakim emphasized the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s special focus on cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and outlined his diplomatic plans.

The ambassador conveyed greetings from Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Majlis ash-Shura of Saudi Arabia, and reiterated his invitation to Marlen Mamataliev to pay an official visit to the country.
