An earthquake occurred in Tajikistan and was felt in Kyrgyzstan, the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to the institute, underground tremors measuring 6.5 in magnitude were recorded at 3:14 a.m.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located in Tajikistan, about 223 kilometers southeast of the city of Osh.
The intensity of the earthquake in the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan reached magnitude 3.
