Over 1,100 kilometers of roads planned to be built in Kyrgyzstan by end of 2025

More than 1,100 kilometers of roads will be built in Kyrgyzstan and pothole repairs will be carried out on 135,000 square meters of roads by the end of 2025. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev announced at an extended meeting. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

He noted that the Ministry of Transport and Communications has been allocated 24.7 billion soms for 2025, of which 10.1 billion soms have already been financed in the first four months.

Currently, construction work is actively underway in priority areas: Balykchi — Bokonbaev — Karakol, Balykchi — Cholpon-Ata — Karakol, Naryn — Baetov, Osh — Batken — Razzakov, Ala-Buka — Zhany-Bazar — Kirov, Bishkek — Osh, Uzgen — Myrza-Ake — Kara-Kulzha, Suusamyr — Talas — Taraz, Lebedinovka — GES-5, Bishkek — Kant, northern bypass road, Jalal-Abad — Begabad — Bazhy, Nookat — Aravan, Semenovka — Ak-Suu (Kyrchyn), five additional facilities on the North-South highway, Barpy — Safarovka.

The head of the Cabinet noted that as part of the construction of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, construction work began on the main objects of the route in Suzak district of Jalal-Abad region on April 29, 2025, including the construction of Fergana tunnel. The total length of the section on the territory of Kyrgyzstan is 304.94 kilometers, it is planned to build 48 bridges and 27 tunnels, their total length is 119.69 kilometers. The Kyrgyz side allocated the next part of funding for the project in the amount of more than $85 million.

Adylbek Kasymaliev also told that five new air routes have been opened since the beginning of 2025, and the development of aviation infrastructure continues.
