42-year-old Azamat Kaybaliev has been appointed new press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
The newly appointed official has been working in the foreign affairs system since 2006. He graduated from Ataturk-Ala-Too International University with a degree in international relations. He has held various diplomatic positions both at the Ministry’s central office and abroad.
He began his career as a secretary, later serving as an attaché in the Department of International Economic Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
Kaybaliev served as the second and third secretary at the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Malaysia; worked at the Eastern Countries Department, the Asia and Africa Department, and the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Qatar; acted as an advisor at the Department of International Organizations and Security at the MFA; served as the first secretary of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Kazakhstan; and worked in the MFA’s First Political Department.
He is fluent in the state and official languages, as well as English and Turkish. He holds the diplomatic rank of First-Class Counselor.
