President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed amendments to the agreement on the establishment of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD). The press service of the head of state reported.
The law was adopted by the Parliament on October 16, 2024. The protocol provides for separating the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development out as an independent financial institution (donor).
The press service notes that this will have a positive effect on the investment climate in the country, in particular, on the implementation of public investment projects in such sectors as energy, transport, agriculture, healthcare, irrigation, education and other sectors of the country’s economy.
«Gaining of the status of a development institution by the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development will increase grant and technical assistance to the social sector of the Kyrgyz Republic and the public administration sector,» the statement says.
