Testing of sheep wool fertilizers has begun in Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz Research Institute of Agriculture reported.
«In order to assess the effectiveness of using organic fertilizer made of sheep wool and its impact on the quality of agricultural crops, scientists have begun to conduct scientific research to test it,» the institute explained.
It is noted that these fertilizers were applied in four variants to winter wheat (five varieties) and winter barley (four varieties) on gray-meadow soils of a 4-hectare area of the Kyrgyz Experimental and Selection Station for Sugar Beets. During the growing season of these crops in 2025, phenological observations will be made from the moment of sprouting to harvesting.
If successful, granulated fertilizers made of wool will be widely used.
