Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev inspects conditions at Bishkek bus stations

Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Dzhunushaliev, together with city services, inspected the progress of work on the territory of the bus stations. The press service of the municipality reported.

First, they inspected the territory of Bishkek Bus Station, which serves international, intercity, regional and suburban routes in the eastern direction, as well as to Naryn and Issyk-Kul regions.

According to the City Hall, modern capsules for rest of drivers and tourists (for the first time in Kyrgyzstan) were installed in the waiting room; there is a public toilet, a shower, and fast food outlets on the territory of the bus station.

In addition, passenger transportation has been organized on electric vehicles, the fares of which are significantly lower than other companies providing taxi services.

The head of Sverdlovsky district was instructed to take special and daily control over the work of the bus station.

The mayor also instructed to clear the areas of illegal coal sales points and other unauthorized objects.

Then they visited the temporarily operating western bus station, located next to the future Ak-Kula hippodrome, from where transport departs to Osh, Batken, Jalal-Abad and Talas.

«Conditions are also being created here for the full operation of the temporary bus station until the construction of the new one is completed, which will be located next to the multifunctional market complex on the western side of Fuchik Street. Lighting has been installed, retail outlets have been relocated from the old western bus station, and a control room and ticket office has been organized,» the City Hall noted.

Sheds and other light structures for temporary placement will also be relocated from the territory of the old western bus station.

The head of the capital instructed Bishkekvodokanal municipal enterprise to promptly lay water supply networks.

The City Hall reminded that bus routes No. 13 and 40, as well as minibus route No. 258, run to the new Ak-Kula hippodrome, and bus routes No. 13 and 34, as well as minibuses No. 123 and 128, run to the new Bishkek Bus Station.
