President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov is ready to sign the bill on rehabilitation of victims of repressions. MP Zhanarbek Akayev announced at a meeting of Eldik parliamentary group and Alliance faction.
According to him, the President returned the bill, because the Ministry of Finance gave him incorrect information. The head of state was told that if the ancestors of the repressed come to ask for compensation, provided for in the bill, in the amount of 1,500 soms, then in total 300 million soms will be needed for this.
Zhanarbek Akayev noted that negotiations were held with the presidential administration, and the head of state is ready to sign the law. He asked the Ministry of Finance not to mislead Sadyr Japarov.
In September 2024, the president returned the bill to the Parliament with objections.
