Kempir-Abad case: Prosecutor's office asks to cancel acquittal verdict

The Prosecutor’s office is asking to cancel the acquittal verdict in the so-called Kempir-Abad case. Politician Ravshan Dzheenbekov posted on Facebook.

According to him, prosecutors Abyshev, Baibagysheva and Osmonaliev appealed to the Bishkek City Court.

In particular, the supervisory body asks to cancel the sentence of the Pervomaisky District Court against Mambetzhunus Abylov, Aidanbek Akmatov, Nurlan Asanbekov, Akyl Aitbaev, Azimbek Beknazarov, Marat Bayazov, Erlan Bekchoro uulu, Aibek Buzurmankulov, Ravshan Dzheenbekov, Gulnara Dzhurabayeva, Chyngyz Kaparov, Rita Karasartova (Rakhman), Zhenish Moldokmatov, Ulukbek Mamataev, Klara Sooronkulova, Ilgiz Saryldyk uulu, Temir Makhmudov, Taalaibek Madaminov, Perizat Suranova, Asiya Sasykbayeva, Ali Shabdan and Atai Beishenbek.

On June 10, state prosecutors asked the court to sentence all the defendants to 10 years in prison under the article «Mass Riots», 15 years under the article «Seizure of Power», by adding together the number of years for all of the accused — 20 years in prison in total with confiscation of property.

However, on June 14, the district court acquitted all the defendants in the case due to lack of corpus delicti.
