Head of Asker Kurulush state enterprise detained in Bishkek

The director of the state enterprise Asker Kurulush was detained in Bishkek. The Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

It is noted that employees of the Ministry of Defense and Asker Kurulush state enterprise overestimated the cost of the work performed to dismantle the old building of the military commissariat of Kochkor district in Naryn region. The state suffered damage in the amount of 3,362 million soms.

A criminal case has been initiated under the article «Corruption» on the fact.

The director of Asker Kurulush state enterprise, the builder of the enterprise and chief power engineer were detained.

«In addition, the leadership of one of the military units of the Ministry of Defense, having entered into a conspiracy with employees of T.K. production company, illegally recruited 12 conscripts to work at a tomato plant for 45 days and received funds in the amount of 760,000 soms,» the Prosecutor General’s Office noted.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 166 «Human Trafficking» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The commander of the military unit and the assistant chief of the operational department were detained and taken into custody as well as the head of the security service of T.K. private enterprise.

Investigative measures are currently being carried out to establish the involvement of other officials.
